Okay, so I think we have all the details in place!
Who: YOU!!! Everyone is invited! Bring a friend :toast:
What: Get together to talk about photography, fall, trips, places, and look at photos
When: Sunday, October 28 at 11AM Please note the change from 1PM to 11AM
Where: Panera Bread, Arvada, 7739 Wadsworth Boulevard Arvada, CO 80003 MAP
Why: Do you really need a reason to get together and talk photography?!?

In this Panera, there isn't a separate room as far as doors, but there is a great cove in what used to be their community room. It is at the far North end of the Panera, behind the cold beverage station. I will get there early to reserve some tables and be sure we can get on the WiFi.

Attendees:
Jason Hatfield
Bill Bean
Lynn Rebuck
Jack Garrett
Bob Falcone
Josh Warrender
Don Jennemann
Pete Miller
Bill Pelzmann
Ken Henke
Bruce Harrington
Fred Braun
Rick Decker
David Kingham
Anne & JR Rusk
See you there! :wavey:

I'm up for a meetup but it I'll be out of the state from October 10th to the 23rd. So after that count me in, until November when I head to Utah that is

I like it Anne...I think we should make this a sticky!
Posted by Bill Bean on September 10, 2012 at 12:33 AM
I'll be there if I'm not traveling for work. Don't let it get around but I really enjoy hanging out with you guys.

I'm new to CO and RMNP, and I'd love to get together! I usually work 9-1 on the third Saturday of the month. Other than that, October works for me.

For the new folks the fall gatherings tend to be either the last weekend in September or the first weekend in October typically.

Since we have some interest, lets put down a date! I was thinking of a Sunday afternoon around 1pm mid to late October so we don't conflict with as many shooting plans at the height of CO color. Since Jason will be out of town until the 23rd, maybe October 28th? Or would a Saturday be better? Bill, do you have any ideas when you will be travelling for work as of yet? Lynn, it will be great to meet you! Jody, I think most of us will be out shooting around those times (and I will be in the mountains for sure), so I am leaning a little later in the season this time around, but thanks! I appreciate the feedback!

Any Sunday works for me!

I guess I misread the thread I thought you all were referencing the fall get together in the mountains, my bad.

Anne, I'm on the calendar at work waiting to see if I get a trip assigned to me. Usually it happens about 10 days out so I won't know for quite some time about October and if it's a Monday presentation I can make arrangements to fly later Sunday. I think Sunday works okay but I would suggest a time frame a little earlier or....find a place with tv's for those of us that are football inclined.
Posted by Anne K. Rusk on September 11, 2012 at 10:35 PM
I totally forgot about football! We can look into earlier times or places with TVs and libations... I'm flexible either way!

Depend on when you do it I may be able to join. I'll keep an eye on this post.

October 28th works for me! Just tell me where to be!

Sure wish I could make it but it's a long trek from Moab. I hope y'all have a great time!
Posted by Joshua Warrender on September 12, 2012 at 10:27 AM
Either of the last 2 weekends of October should work for me. Sounds fun!
Posted by Lynn Rebuck on September 15, 2012 at 12:16 AM
I could meet 11:30 or later on either Sunday or anytime Saturday the 27th. Looking forward to it!
Posted by Bill Bean on September 16, 2012 at 9:27 PM
Okay, I saw the travel schedule at work. I'm not there till November so any weekend in October works for me.

I'd like to come! Fairly wide open on dates and times, so I'll keep an eye on this thread!
Posted by Don Jennemann on September 17, 2012 at 5:38 PM
I'm open, any dates should work for me.
Posted by Lynn Rebuck on September 18, 2012 at 10:21 AM
That works for me! :)

Date and time work for me (Broncos game not a factor for me...) Any location is good. Be great to see everyone.

Sorry, can't make it. I will be in New Zealand from Oct 27 thru Nov 12.
Posted by Mark Hespenheide on October 2, 2012 at 1:25 AM
I'll be down in Zion that weekend. Anyone who's headed there is welcome to drop me a line and share a campsite. I'll probably be down the following weekend, too...
Posted by Pete Miller on October 5, 2012 at 7:37 PM
I will most likely be able to make this date/time. :)
Posted by Bill Bean on October 11, 2012 at 12:14 PM
Have we firmed up a location yet?
Posted by Anne K. Rusk on October 12, 2012 at 8:28 AM
I do not have a firm location as of yet. The Panera near me got rid of their extra room so it is all out in the open like the raptor shoot. I am checking to see if we can use a classroom at my office building or maybe a room at the College Hill Library. If anyone else has any ideas, let me know!!
Posted by Bill Pelzmann on October 22, 2012 at 1:19 PM
My travel plans have changed, so I will be able to attend.
CB Pots is a GREAT location, since I can walk there from my house.
Posted by Morris McClung on October 22, 2012 at 5:00 PM
I am hoping to make it wherever ya'll decide on. :wavey:
Posted by Don Jennemann on October 23, 2012 at 5:31 PM
CB Potts works for me also.
Posted by Pete Miller on October 23, 2012 at 7:49 PM
Which one? There are a few CB & Potts around town.
Posted by Anne K. Rusk on October 23, 2012 at 8:45 PM
So CB&Potts charges :frown: I am looking at a couple Panera places around town. They all have been remodeled and will not take reservations for an area. The one downtown still has the room, but no doors. He didn't think I would need a reservation at 11am and I would get there much earlier to save a place. I'll have firm details tomorrow!
Posted by Bill Bean on October 24, 2012 at 10:38 AM
The fact that there is no door isn't a big deterrant. I had a coffee meeting/mini class reunion with some old school chums at a Panera in Wichita over Labor Day weekend. There was a seperate room/area with no door and it worked out perfectly well. I think that would be fine and I have no problem getting there early to "reserve" it.
Posted by Anne K. Rusk on October 24, 2012 at 1:24 PM
Thanks, Bill! I'll be there around 10:15 to get it all put together, so whenever you want to come by, I'll see you there!!
Posted by Morris McClung on October 25, 2012 at 6:15 PM
Sorry, Anne, I can't make that time. Ya'll have fun.
Posted by Anne K. Rusk on October 25, 2012 at 6:58 PM
Bummer, Morris! Next time!
Posted by Karl Buiter on October 29, 2012 at 6:58 PM
So...

What happened? Fill us in with all the details!
Posted by Anne K. Rusk on October 29, 2012 at 9:45 PM
Hey, Karl!
It was a good time! There were about 15 of us at Panera. We had our own section where we could hang out, move around, and mingle. The wifi was helpful since people brought tablets and laptops to look at images of cool places they have been and getting ideas of where to go. Everyone disbursed around 2. I forgot to take any pics (surrounded by photographers, but no pictures!), but I think everyone had a good time. Thanks to everyone who came out and I hope we will do something similar in the spring. :wavey:
