Clark County Lake
I made a quick trip to one of my favorites this past weekend since the weather was so nice, our first weekend in a while with camping weather. This was first light, Sun. morning.

I was about the only one at the lake except for a few fishermen(or women). There were no boats on the lake because the boat ramps were all way too high out of the water(they've only had about ten inches of rain the last two years).I enjoyed it being nice and quiet like that. I've often wondered what this valley must have been like before is was flooded. On the other hand, if they hadn't flooded it and made a park out of it, it would no doubt be private property, no tresspassing.

Looks like a place I need to get on my list of Kansas locations to see. The colors are rich yet subdued and the topography is quite lovely. Yet another Kansas enigma.

Really nice. I agree with Wayne that the topography is great. Looks like another hidden gem.
