The title couldn't give a more false impression if it tried. This was a sow badger that we fondly referred to as Betty who used to visit the garden at my previous home. I used to feed a raised bed outside the window of an outhouse and she would come most nights. I would shoot through the open window and she could be as close as 3 feet or so away. I could talk and throw nuts for her and she wouldn't bat an eye. This was taken with flash which has caught the eyes and so would normally have been discarded but in this instance the closeness and the expression led me to keep it.

Easy enough to change the colour in the eyes if you so wish, but it is that wet nose that grabs my attention.

Great stuff ! We get them here every night and they do get stupidly tame. Nearly got one hand feeding but don't trust 'em !!

Wondeful close up, I think the image would really suit Black& White too Robert. Lets hope the ban gets stopped as what a shame for these animals otherwise.

I envy you Robert. I'd love to have badgers in my garden. A great shot too, lovely wet slobbery nose!

A B+W conversion would be great Robert. Very close image and I too like the wet snout.
