Friday night, when most of you were headed west to look for fall color, I was heading east...for fall color of a different variety. I made the 4 hour drive east to Oakley, KS and headed 20 miles south to Monument Rocks National Landmark. Got some night sky shots with the Milky Way, a nice soft sunrise, and a fabulous sunset before heading home. I even got a little cloud cover for sunset.

#2 There was a bank of clouds on the horizon that I thought would surely spoil the last couple minutes of sunset. To my surprise it wasn't clouds...it was smoke and haze from the wildfires and the horizon exploded with red light.

#3 Last one. I wish I'd had the clouds for sunrise but it didn't work out that way.

Nice work Bill! I love muted tones, #3 is my fave although I like how you tucked the sun into the corner in #2.
