It took nearly an hour for this young red deer to make his way towards me through the fog. Finally I have something to test my 1DIV with. :| Must use the stealth mode, the shutter had him looking for me.
I added some contrast with levels, it really was rather misty. No sign of a rut but of course back at the car I could hear the fallows bellowing.

Neil you certainly look like you got close this fine animal almost fills the frame, the detail on the large one is very impressive.

Great detail, but I wish there was a little more space at the bottom for the virtual legs.

I like the calling pose on this one, Neil. Slight nit covered re the space. Enjoy the 1DIV, wish I had one

I agree about the feet guys but cloning stuff in is not my way ;) I should have grabbed another shot below this one as I did with consequent images.
Nits covered Neil. I don't know if it is just me or my set up but it looks a touch oversharpened on the head??

A little below would have been perfect but this is very almost, can kinda see where Robert is coming from re: head but v.v.v.marginal

A fine image with minor nit covered. Mk4? As close as this you could have used a G10

Could be the head is looking sharper as it was wet, but I see your point. I am liking the mkIV, lower noise and 1.3 crop is kind of nice. 7D was often too close and 5D was not close enough ;) Thanks all.
