I sat myself under a tree pointing to an oak tree. Right now the acorns are falling and I had an inkling the boar families would be patrolling the oaks. But of course I had sat myself right under one of those oaks and the boar came right out of the long grass, looked at me, then scarpered! Next time I will be much wiser in my choice :)

How close were you Neil? I'm not sure I would want to get that close either.
An excellent portrait Neil. I guess some may argue that you could lift the exposure a touch on the shaded eye but for me it looks natural and there is enough detail in the larger image. Nice one.

Cheers guys. This was cropped from landscape, forgot to mention. He stodd still just long enought to get 3 shots off, this was the only sharp one. I find they are more inclined to run than charge, this fellow was still young. He was probably within 10M of me, this was a shot with the bare 500 at f4, it was darkish and the shadows already had a good lifting ;)
