We fly back to Colorado tomorrow and I want to put together some type of a photo board in my 2 year old son’s room with pictures of his grandparents, cousins and overseas friends that we don’t want him to forget. I’d like to have it down at his eye level and ideally have some sort of clear plastic protection to keep the photos from being pulled off or getting sticky finger marks all over them. I’m not a handy man in the slightest. Any suggestions of what might work for this?

I was in Wal-Mart yesterday and I noticed in the photo center that they can make a collage poster from a number of photos. It looks as if it is a standard size poster (28x22??). Not sure if this anything close to what you want, but it seemed like a good idea, no worries of little hands grabbing prints off and probably inexpensive enough to not worry a whole lot about finger prints.
Oh, and it is Wal-Mart, so quality isn’t going to be anywhere near professional, but maybe good enough for kids. <shrug>

Just a thought,
Mike

I went to Micaels and saw some very reasonable clip frames and Colage Frames too!

We use the cheap plexi box frames for what you mentioned. They come in various sizes and are easy to switch photos in and out. You can find them at most hobby stores - Michael's, Hobby Lobby, etc.

I like Mike's idea. Whenever I need family photos made, I do everything online at Walgreens. You could just make a canvas at the prescribed size in PS and put photos on it, even label each one with the person's name, and then send it for output. Just check what size prints your eventual lab can do. If Walmart can do 22x28, that would be a good size.

Thanks for the creative suggestions! I'll check those out later this week. :toast:

A piece of plexiglas from your local glass store will work. If you want, a frame around it will
dress it up. 4 screws will fasten it to the wall, and allow you, and not him to get to the
photos behind the plexiglass.
