Autumn Blackcap
Blackcap (female)
Lot of these around at the moment feeding on blackberries and elderberries.
Not sure about the atumn leaves in this one. Toned them down quite a bit. The bramble leaves are really red. Tail out I,m affraid but at that aperture there's not much you can do.Looks a bit "flat" but all the range is there - just the conditions I think and they are not a bright bird I suppose. Sooner the leaves are off the better.
Oh dear just looked out the window and its raining again. That's a nice change.
Gave the old D200 a shutter wake up.( Yours Phil !)

Great pose and detail, might just crop from the top a little to exclude the highlights top right...

The bird is fantastic, but I find that brightest leaf top left a bit too intrusive.

Thanks all.
I agree about the leaf. It was a lot brighter before I toned it down.

Apart from that leaf it looks pretty good to me John.

Nice shot JR but can't help feeling it looks a bit indistinct against the brown water. Agree about the red leaf being a little distracting. Hope I am not too negative.

Hi Nick
Yes - as I said it is a bit flat, Easily enhanced but then looses the mood.
Regarding the view figures - there is something wrong. I will post a comment about it shortly. Admin say no software problem.
