My pal Robbie
D7000 300mm f4 ISO 250 1/500s at f5.6 hand held.

Robbie sits and waits for me each morning as I go into the shed to get the days supply of bird food and brightens my day no matter the weather. Many thanks for your comments on my last post, greatly appreciated.

Hi Nick
Beautifully sharp (as expected from the D7000( ) and I love the small displaced feather on the head. Makes it real !
Small nits- Bit big in frame and little more canvas left , but no big deal.
JR
PS What sharpenning setting on the camera ?

Tis a little big in frame but I had my back to the shed. Next time I will open the door and step inside.

JR... sharpening is set at +2 in camera.

Hi Nick, main observations covered, would suggest you reduce the yellow overall, a bit too saturated. Look at the brown wing feathers and green of the BKG.

Agree re the nits and warmth. But a nice detailed robin, would sell well that!

Cracking portrait Nick. I like BIF! Colour cast already covered and easily fixed, otherwise a great photo. These are great subjects and very popular. :toast: :toast: :toast:
