I did 6 days of sunrises and have about 3000 images taken with the D3 D700 d2x & D300, this is as is from the D3 with a crop from the top & bottom as suggested in my last post.
I do have the same image with the sun from left to right it was taken at 6:45am and you get about 10 min of great light & 20 mins of so so light.

I kind of see it as an almost, personally I think there are too many flamingos cluttering it up but may be just me.

I don't agree with Neil, I think if anything it needs a few more flamingos. However, I don't think it is quite as strong as your last posting either. It also looks to me as though it may need a slight CCW rotation as well

Oddly I prefer this one but I guess that is why we all have different coloured cars as it is the colours here that get my attention. A few more flamingoes with their heads up would have been nice

I much prefer this one, think the sun is stunning and love the colour and tranquil feel. My only really, really minor nit is the cut off flamingo head reflection. But really picky
The more I look the more I like. In fact I believe I also prefer this to your first one. ccw nit covered. A lovely image.

What I meant was a hundred flamingos in a tight flock would work but as they are a bit scattered it looks messy.

Stunning sunset! Agree re CCW rotation and I also tend towards the view of more flamingo's may help the shot. Would love to have been there Phil and you have captured the mood of the place very well. TFS

Love this Phil, agree about CCW rotation, but I also think that if there weren't a couple of Flamingos overlapping, and if they were a bit more evenly distributed on the water, then it would be even stronger. Still a cracking shot though, I've love one like it!
