I was down in the West Elks around Crested Butte over the weekend and got the opportunity to shoot some of my favorite locations and eat some absolutely delicious pizza. I'm happy with how these photos turned out, and though there were a lot of people around at Horse Creek Park along Kebler when I was there, I feel like I was able to get some quality photos. I didn't get the opportunity to stay up there for when the weather started coming in, I've heard lots about an awesome rainbow at Horse Creek Park on Monday evening. I haven't done a lot of fall photography in the past because of work, but I've been trying to make the most of it this season.
Thank you to everyone who posted in the Fall Colors Report thread, that helped me out a lot in trip planning! This is such a great forum!
First up, is one from Kebler Pass at sunset. I tried to do a tight crop of the awesome colors on display. Everything else I shot that night was wide.

Really nice set Ryan! My absolute favorite is the night shot at Ohio Pass, great job with the light on the trees, they look great contrasted with the deep blue night sky.

Really like the Kebler Pass panorama - so often one sees closely cropped images of the red aspens and the Dyke (I'm definitely guilty.) It's refreshing to see the wider view, especially when it's this nice. That said, the first, tight shot is stunning as well.
What Scott said about the night shot - really cool as well.

A fine set of images! I love the first one ('View Larger Photo'). The bare meadow in the lower right corner is nicely offset by the bare rock in the upper left, and it's simply a fantastic display of foliage.
And the night on Ohio Pass is phenomenal! What a great idea to light the foreground like that. Just perfect, IMO! Well, you might consider burning down the brightest tree trunk on the left. A real pleasure viewing these, Ryan!
