One from a shoot with some Harvest mice about to be re-introduced into the wild, hopefully I managed to illustrate the use of their 'prehensile' tail.
The exposure was on the border, I would have preferred more DoF but sometimes you have to accept a compromise....
All the best

I would prefer the top corn ear not to be in shot, just the stalk, but harvest mice are hard to come by and the colours and detail make up for any distractions.

Cracking shot Phil although as you say that little bit extra DOF would have been nice. I think the top corn ear would be better left out as it is a distraction and does not add much to the image. Have never seen one so many thanks for sharing.

Hi PhilI think the top ear is a major distraction too. Other wise fine. Was this prior to release or after ?
Nice to see one that has been captive with a full tail too . They usually chew 'em off !!!

Make that unanimous about the top ear! In fact, I think I would crop it at the presumed horizon, even if it does leave the subject looking out of the picture. A fine portrait, which illustrates the prehensile tail beautifully.

Fantastic shot Phil. A difficult one to crop, but a superbly captured little mouse.

Charming, don't have a massive problem with the corn but everyone else can't be wrong ... can they?
