Red in Mono...
7D, 500/4, Tripod + Gimbal.
ISO160, 1/800 @ f6.3.
RAW to Lightroom 4.1...
Slight crop for composition.

Hi,

After an early start to get to Richmond Park we found ourselves delayed on the M25 thanks to the whole thing being closed.... 3 parts of an hour late we had missed the best light so spent a while trying to make the best of the situation...

This close up I thought was good for a mono conversion giving perhaps a little more drama...

Good to meet Oscar, sorry we missed you Bob and Phil E. but the best Bacon Roll in the South East was calling...

We did smile on the way home mind as there was a ten mile tailback in the opposite direction

All the best :wavey:

Hi Phil, the conversion has worked a treat, love the pose, wish there was sound so you could here the bellowing raw. Love the contrast in tones and the 'copper tone (?)' was a good call. Is this a Duo/Tri tone or a Nik conversion? Very nice indeed!

I would be tempted to add a touch more contrast to red only, but it is a nice conversion. Wish I could get this close to a red.

A very striking portrait Phil. The B/W conversion suits the subject well and the vignette adds emphasis. Like it a lot. :toast:

Great head shot Phil .and I like the mono. I feel it needs more canvas on the right though. Just my opinion. Others will certainly not agree.
Cheers

Stunning image that works very well in B+W, would like to see the colour version too. A plume of breath would have really been the icing on the cake.
