Lockett meadow aspens
After Doug informed me the leaves were near peak I decided to head up on Sunday. My trip was cut short due to my window breaking, but I made it back alive. Here are a few of the images I was able to capture and gives an idea of what the colors are like right now.

#1 Land of Gold

#2 Lockett Meadow - A similar view from Doug's post in the fall colors thread, the change in colors in such a short time really surprised me.

1,3, and 4 are gorgeous Peter, cliche or not

Thanks Pam, I wasn't really expecting anything spectacular for original photos, and since my time up there was short I made the most of it in one little grove. The second shot is just a documentary shot to show the conditions as the light was obviously not ideal.

#3 might be "cliche" but man, you nailed that shot. Nothing cliche about a well executed photo!

#1 and #4 are really excellent, Peter. You're making me wish I still lived down there!

I'm diggin the first shot. The sun flare and in-your-face wideangle perspective makes for a dynamic image!

Thanks everyone! That first one was my favorite of the day. Wasn't sure how some would react to the in your face trunks, but I felt it worked and it appears I succeeded in my attempt.

A lot of cliches, but I shoot them, too. Your versions all work very well.
