One (of many) photo from my recent San Juan trip.

Liking this one a lot. Not many images make we want to 'be there' and this one does that.

I really like the focus on the transitions up to the mountain. Well composed for sure! If you don't mind me asking, any special post-processing to get that amazing clarity? I was probably standing next to you, but I noticed many of my images of the Divide still had some haze. Could be that you just are using superior glass.

The transitions here are phenomenal. Colors and contrast are very appealing.

This was taken last Thursday afternoon and the haze was pretty bad. For the mountains, where the haze was most prominent, I used the graduated filter tool in Lightroom and increased the contrast and clarity (and also tweaked the colors and saturation). Then, also in Lightroom, I increased the blacks, contrast, and clarity for the whole image. In photoshop, I duplicated the background layer and applied an EXTREME "S" curve to the layer (which looked kinda cool ). I then reduced the opacity of that layer to zero and then brought it up slowly till I liked what I saw. Usually less than 15%. Blend mode was "Normal". This gave a little added clarity/contrast and a nice bump in color sat.
Hi Phil, I agree with others are saying about your fine image. Nice tight zoom shot. Love the three distinct layers all representing different eco systems. Processing looks great.

I like this zoomed-in shot with the snow-covered lower mountain as the background. The patches of light accent the layers nicely. The sun on the middle yellow ridge is just right, The one small area of light in the LLC seems a little grabby to me. Must have been a good week to be in the San Juans despite the smokey haze, based on the images seen. Really nice one.
As said by others, I really like the 3 distinct layers in this shot. Nice spot lighting on the aspen section and the processing gives it a nice, sharp, and clean look. Well seen and executed.
