Here's an idea. Since many of us were out in the San Juans for the fall colors, it would have been nice to have a way to readily recognize RMNP members so we could stop and say hello. A few had CNP/RMNP bumpersitckers but the majority did not. What if we could get antenna flags with the RMNP logo on them that we could display when out shooting? Just an idea.
Here is a link to a company that makes such flags. Don't know if they are a good company or not, just did a quick Google search. Perhaps if there is interest we could arrange a group buy?

Great idea!

Someone offered to make window stickers earlier this year, but they never materialized. Most cars no longer have antennas to attach a flag.

Sounds like an invitation to a car break-in to me.

The second link posted above shows flags that don't require an antenna.
RE: Break-ins..........how is anyone (other than RMNP members) going to know what "RMNP" stands for?
Ah well. It was just an idea. Carry on.....

Phillip, I think the flags are a great idea, much more visible than bumper stickers, and I don't have a concern about alerting thieves with a simple RMNP logo.
However, if I am reading their price lists correctly, it appears 50 flags may be a minimum order ???
I doubt we could sell that many ??
I was out in the Telluride/Ridgway/Crested Butte area for nine days and I'm sure I passed many RMNP members on the road.
It was great catching a meal with Morris and Brian at the True Grit. Would have loved to do more of that.

The website I linked to was just for illustration. I haven't looked into this much as I wanted to see if there was any interest first. There may be other suppliers out there that don't have a minimum order or have cheaper prices. But it doesn't look like there is much interest.
Maybe we could mount neon "RMNP" lights on the roofs of our cars??
I think something like this is a good idea, but some vehicles (including mine) don't have traditional antennas anymore. What about custom license plate frames or something like? Just an idea. I think half the forum was around Ridgway.

Some of us already took advantage of purchasing a RMNP cap earlier this year. A cap identifies a member away from their car better than flag or sticker on a parked car does.
I am in Virginia so a flag or button or something would be great. I am sure I saw a bunch of folks from here but we were all so caught up shooting our things that unless you see something I was reluctant to bring it up with most folks.
