I am just beginning to go through some images from my trip to Ridgway this weekend. Here's one looking west from atop Lost Dollar from Friday evening (an evening where I have seen already some great Dallas Divide sunset images). Am looking forward to sorting through more for the competition!

This is wonderful and what an awesome sky! The bit of ridge in the lower center and tree on the lower left are a bit distracting but the FG layer of aspens and patchwork middle ground
are beautiful. Just an FYI, it's LAST Dollar road
Must have been feeling that I was about to lose my last dollar destroying a rental car in a couple of those mudholes! Agree with the comments - thanks!

Those are some great cloud colors to compliment the aspens. I agree with Pam about the tree and ridgetop along the bottom edge. Maybe add some local contrast to the near and far trees? That Friday's sunset must have been spectacular to see in person.

That's very nice! Wow, what a great sky. I know it's a small detail, but seeing the Lizard Head so clearly is what made this for me.

Oh man, isn't it great when you hit a moment like that, great landscape + amazing sky? Beautiful capture, and certainly 20x better being there, although you did grab a huge range of luminance.
