Folks,

I live in Ohio. There are lots of good NPN'ers here( in the Mid west NP area) but we as a whole contribute so little compared to your area/ Your area is about the best as far as contributions of images, meaningful discussions etc. there is here on the NPN.

Is it just you guy's ( & Gals!) or is there something we can do to get the MWNP area going?

Jack

Ah, Jack, (there is something special about being named Jack. I mean, simply being able to say something like "hey, Jack..." ought to endear you to lots of people) (maybe it's a PNW thing...) anyway, I don't know why, we are a pretty close knit group here. I think it's maybe since we know each other in the flesh (not in the biblical sense). We've met each other and we tend to go out a lot in official groups and also as a lot of informal groups. For me, personally, I have a job, I own my own business, but work is not the point. If it's looking good, I frenzy around, get my work done, and get out to photo, the lifestyle is the thing.

Jack, this forum seems to ebb and flow. Currently, it's on a high note with lots of activity. I believe that's due in large part to Mark Hudon, Rick Lundh, Erik Lundh, Ned Fenimore, and Rick Lamb, who've kept things going when the going got tough. Today, there's a lot of interaction, comaderie, and true friendship. My personal compliments to the folks who've kept the forum alive. Way to go guys. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Cheers,

Jack,
You can also participate in our forum if you wish. There are no rules against that. I bet there are alot of fine images from that area that would interest us... David, thanks for the kind words. I think this forum as a whole with all the different levels of photography being shared is what really makes it work.

Jack,
What a compliment to this group, to have you comment in such a way. David...thanks for the kind words...
This forum, like others has it's busy times and it's slow times...but what keeps me interested is my love for photography, the plentiful photo ops we have in the PacNW, and the great group of friends I've met over the last 3 years here. We've got a lot of talent here...and I remember how poor my skills were (they still need work  ) first started. I've taken photography classes in high school, and in college...but I've made the most advances from the interaction we have here.
Sure, there's been some head butting along the way...but we've licked our wounds...overcome our differences...and moved on. What's vitally important, is the group events. It doesn't have to be 15 all at once...most of us here, have found that it is better to pair off in smaller groups of 2-5. Mix it up a little along the way...the more shoots you go on, the better frineds you might possibly become...but ultimately...more pictures taken=more posts. Once you know the other person's character...it's easier to converse...
I'd like to just add a thanks to all for participating on this forum as a whole...and the honest feedback that is provided. :toast:
