Brown Hare up close.
Nikon D7000
Nikon 300ml 2.8
1/200@f7.1 iso 500.
May be a bit BIF for some but that's where it was.

Thanks for looking and your comments on my last post.

Certainly detailed and the eyes look amazing.

Hi Keith,
the hare looks great, pin sharp where it needs to be and bags of detail. They really do have an amazing eye. A bit puzzled by the background though  There appear to be areas around the hare which don't look quite right, particularly so around and above the head. It looks to me (and I'm often wrong  ) that some selective procesing work has been carried out.
A fine capture anyway.

Hi Keith, OK, perhaps a little big in frame, but you have captured a very nice side profile of this animal, but more importantly you have nailed the sharpness, clarity and detail within the subject. Overall the colour looks good, however I too am a little puzzled to see what Robert is referring to. The BKG looks ok and you have the slight transition of slightly lighter vegetation on the RHS to a slightly more vivid on the LHS, but all is very natural IMHO. You still have this issue about blue creeping in on the whites, an easy fix which helps overall too, will let you know. A very nice image Keith, seems you are going from strength to strength. Love that beady eye which draws the viewer in.

Having a hare too close is a problem that I know many would like to have. Maybe a little blue in places, but, as Steve says, a very easy problem to fix.

Very nice shot and, from the sound of it, good field craft. Would like to see some lower POV shots if you are till working on these animals.

All the best

Thanks Craig and Ian,Ian i think spending the last 60 years or so out in the woods and fields does help a lot, things have gone off a bit where these Hare are due to the amount of farm work at the moment but i will try for some lower shots when i next have a go.
Cheers Keith.
