I recently sold my G11 to get a G1X for the larger sensor size in a walk around camera. I'm not disappointed with the results.
These area a couple of shots I made at Mormon Row in Grand Teton NP.

Both these shots were done in RAW using manual exposure settings, but using autofocus mode.

These look good, Howard. How do you like the size of the G1X compared to the G11? How does the autofocus compare?

Paul, I don't find the slightly larger size to be a problem. I still carry it around in the same small bag I bought for my G11. As for the autofocus, it seems about the same to me. I honestly think anyone who liked the G11 or G12 should be able to be happy with the G1X if they think the much larger sensor is more important than the extra length on the tele end of the lens.

These look pretty good, Howard. I've been thinking about getting this camera as a replacement for the G11.
