I really like the variation in clarity here Cliff. It makes the leaves seem to be dancing in the wind.

I also love making these kind of images, Cliff. I usually get dinged for having oof elements in the foreground, as you have here. But like John says, it can give an interesting interpretive view of the leaves. Nice comination of color, too, not blazing, just mellow and toasty warm. Even the one highlighted leaf serves a purpose in this image. It's placed so that the viewer's gaze is drawn to a very appealing area of clarity and from there to wander in pleasure.
