Above Durango ski resort

Are there any overlooks above the trees off of Hermosa park rd or any of the connecting roads that allow a great view for sunrise or sunset. I was up there yesterday evening, but was a little late to find a good view. Thanks for you help.

When I was staying at the resort last week, I went up the road on two occasions. There are some decent views across the valley low. I went further the following night up to the top "T" intersection where there is a narrow view at the turn-off in line with the sunset (on that day). I went no further since I was in a rental vehicle, my normal 4x4 sidelined back home. But I hear one of the trails will eventually take you to Rico. I think the left direction will take you to the top of the first ridge which should offer some good sunset and maybe sunrise views. Let us know or post something if you go further!
