I went to purchase Noise Ninja and I see it's now longer made. The only choice was a raw converter, Photo Ninja.

Can you recommend some good noise reduction software for a Mac?

I don't know about Mac compatibility but I highly recommend NeatImage. There is a stand alone and a PS pluggin version.

Dan, I've got Nik Dfine 2.0. I like it a lot, not sure about Mac usage...

I have Noiseware as a photoshop plugin and have been using it on my Macs for many years - first on a G4 PowerMac and now on a G4 PowerBook with 10.5.8 and an Intel iMac with 10.6.8.

I use Nik Dfine 2.0 as well. I'm pretty happy with it. Yes, it runs on my Mac.

I also use Noiseware plugin for photoshop. It works very well for me. I also use some other plugins from Topaz labs and have found great results with their products.

I tried some comparisons between Lightroom 4, Noise Ninja and Genuine Fractals (or whatever they are calling it now) and noticed little to no difference. Has anyone noticed decent benefits with any alternative software?

Either Lightroom 4 or ACR 7.3 (same engine) has the best in the business these days.
