Posing Heron
Hello everyone, many thanks for the comments on my last few uploads, much appreciated!! Tonights image is a bit of a departure from the Rut, although it was taken at Bushy Park! I was busy taking shots of a large 16 point Stag in bright mid morning conditions with my mate Geoff Baker. When my wife suddenly pointed out this Heron posing on a nearby tree. I must have stood taking shots of it for a good 15 mins  . Well enough waffle, here it is!

Hi Paul
Maybe a bit off the top or a little more on the bottom for me. Others will certainly not agree.
One of your best !
Cheers

Would prefer more bottom but works as is. :toast:

You have got great detail here, even though the light was very contrasty, and I agree with John that it is one of your best. More on the bottom and less on the top would be good, but may not be an option after the event.

Nit covered. An excellent shot of one of my favourite subjects. Bags of detail. The pose of the bird and the isolation against the blue sky is wonderful. For me this is a fantastic image. Top drawer Paul. :toast: :toast:

Great pose, good exposure - not sure where your headspace is at with the comp though Paul - makes no sense to me at all.

Is this ex cam or have you cropped it?

Very nice, but agree less space at the top, more at the bottom :toast: :toast:

Bit more space below for me but a wonderful image of this bird, really like the pose needs more space below though fo the bird to look into  :wavey:
