Hi,

A rare days leave before a couple of busy weekends, one of my sons gets married on Sat 13th and its WildPhotos the weekend after....

Spent some time with the Jays that are visiting at the moment and ploughing through the peanuts to add to their winter stash's. They are eating us out of house and home...

All the best

Phil

Love it, but then I am a sucker for a black background.

I would prefer the BG was not black to be honest. The rest is great, yellow oak leaves, perfect.

Hi Phil
Saw Frans like this somewhere else . Not sure about the black but I think the branch going up certainly spoils it for me. Others will certainly not concur
The wing whites are a bit blown but then they nearly always are on Jay pics.
Any way if you got them coming regularly there's plenty of time to mess about.
Hope the wedding goes OK.
Cheers

Hi Phil, little nits covered and it would not do for us all to agree but i do like the dark bg and the mossy branch and the pose of the bird.

What kind of Jay is that? I've never seen that kind in Colorado. Is that a set up you have in your yard? I'm not sure how I feel about the black. It makes the bird stand out beautifully, but it looks very staged. I think I would prefer a creamy natural background. Otherwise the picture is wonderful! Nice work! Blessings, Deb

Nice Jay for sure Phil, just not too keen on the branch in the BG though; it kills it a bit for me too.

I like the Jay and the leaves Phil, but am not sure about the black bg or branch going up :toast: :toast:

BG sets the image off really well, beautiful colours to these birds and I like the colours of the leaves etc  :wavey:

Lovely shot, Jays are so pretty. Had one ion the new garden it didn't stay, should i put loose peanuts out for it or will it take from the feeder, just wondered really I do like getting different birds in :toast: :toast:

Beauty of an image Phil and I think the black Bg brings out the colours of the leaves and bird. Perhaps darken the branch in the background?
