Hi....
I plan to see the Migration of the Wilder beast next year from Masai Mara. Will someone please advice which is the best time to go there and which camp do you recommend to stay which is the closest to the river from where they move. I am planing a five day visit just to go and see this Migration.

Is there a group from the members of NP who are planing to make this tour and I would like to join in.

Please advise.

Hussain

Hussain this is far from organized yet I am afraid I am not sure when and if this will occur so much better if you arrange your own visit. If I go I may also be visiting with some Tanzanian colleagues - but Ill get back to you if things develop - good luck

Hussein,

The wildebeest usually start crossing the Mara river around mid July and will be in the Maasai Mara until early to mid October.

Camps I've used are Intrepids Mara, Mara Ngenche, Entim Camp. They all offer excellent game drives and service.
Ngenche and Entim are on the confluence of the Mara and Talek rivers and so is a really good spot at migration time, although very busy.
Intrepids is a bigger camp but the service and game drives are excellent.
