Will if anyone can get something messed up its me! I use Elements 9 to
downsize an image for the Web. Never had a problem before until now.
When I downsize my image does not represent the original image.
The colors are weaker and the saturation is not there. I have tried several settings but can't seem to get it back to where it was.
Would appreciate any help.

Don - Please list the steps you took to downsize the image... it sounds to me like you might also be converting the color space or file format, and that could be affecting things. Also, are you viewing the original and downsized image both inside PS Elements? Or in two different programs?

Hi David,
I drop the original after making corrections into PSE9. I then click on "Save for Web"
My current settings:
Preset: Custom
Interlaced: Not Checked
Gif
Selective
Colors 256
Dither: 100%
Transparency checked I then downsize to 1100 width. Apply Original and downsized image are viewed inside PS.
Final downsized image is not as saturated.
Thanks for looking,
Don

OK - what you're doing is saving a GIF image Don. And you're saving it with a very small bit depth - only 256 colors; That's the max that the GIF format allows. Is that what you intend to do? It's definitely what's causing the loss of saturation.
Most folks here will save JPGs - if you select that in the "Save for Web" dialog and do the same resizing, it should come out much better. JPGs can use 24-bit color (8 bit color for each of the three R, G, and B primaries) for millions of colors (16,777,216).
