Thanks for the comments on my last post.
Having seen that the forecast for this morning was clear skies, I set off to Richmond, only to find that the sun wouldn't make an appearance until 8.30! My camera's back from repair, and to begin with I was struggling still. Then I remembered the AF fine tune, and now, with it set to +20, sharpness has returned!

The portrait composition here suits the image really well, the pose captured is very good and I like the tones/colours that you can only get in these weather conditions.

Gimme clouds anyday! Agree it works well in portrait but I would worry if my lens needed 20 adjustment.
Neil, as I'm going to Norfolk next week I'll keep it at +20 (it does give me sharp shots), but will get the lens and camera, and lens, TC and camera, calibrated when I get back

Love the subdued feel to this. I would clone the tree TRHS to give a smooth monotone background, but apart from that think it is every bit as good as the mist and glow shots. Did you make it this morning? I was denied permission to go out two days in a row!
I quite like the slightly blue feel to this one Oscar. A completely different feel to your recent 'golden backlit' images. It's a fine image with the selective focus used to great effect.

The lighting looks just as good as in your golden shots, Oscar. Another very good piece of photography IMO.
