Big Daddy
Hi everyone, many thanks for the comments on my last upload. I went to Bushy Park again yesterday, and enjoyed a few hrs with my mate Geoff, photographing the Rut. The light wasn't great, but the mist more than made up for it, making for some atmospheric images. This big Stag came rushing out from the mist shrouded bracken, straight at me. It was a brown trouser moment, as my mate Geoff describes it! I managed this before fleaing!!

Absolutely brilliant! one of your best stag shots IMHO Paul, and you have some other beauties I know.
He was a big boy wasn't he, a 20 pointer giving you the eye isn't what you want is it lol.
Thanks for a great day.
Geoff.

Hi Robert, mmm, U see what you mean, I have absolutely no idea what that is! All I can say is that the only processing done on this image was a contrast boost, and a little USM, really that's all I've done. It must be something from the bracken it came out of?

A big english warrior looking to stuff a couple of Taffies - now there's a traditional scene

Use an adjustment brush in LR4 to warm the ends of the antlers and his muzzle a tiny bit - there's a little cyan in there.

Just how far is Bushy from your place

Impressive beast and kudos to you for standing your ground

Nicely done in every aspect, though I wouldn't recommend facing down a stag at anytime

Andy...

Superb image of an impressive stag, you can see right down his throat! Great autumn colours compliment the image.
