Guanella
Morris & I went up to Guanella Pass yesterday in search of some Bierstadt light. The clouds and light were moving fast, and the wind was pretty vicious--the wind chill had to be close to zero. We went down to the lake for sunset and got some pretty dramatic light until just before sunset, when the snow showers moved in from the NW. Here's the lake and sawtooth shortly before sunset.

Those are all fine shots, Stan! That first one is exactly what that great light looked like on the lake and peaks. You had to be working hard to get through that many shots by today! One is definitely my favorite here, but they are all excellent.

Had a great time shooting, talking, and eating with you. Glad you finally got some Beau-Jo's!

#3 tops my list, beautiful golden light and the sun spot on the mountain gives it that extra punch. #1 is my next favorite. Great work as usual Stan!

Boy that looks cold. I like the shot of the Sawtooth with the splendid spotlighting. Nice shots Stan.

#3 is easily my favorite, the spotlight effect is what makes me smile and wish I was there.

Very nice work Stan, I'm a big fan of #1 and #3. I'll have to get up to Guanella sometime...

I also like the light you captured in #'s 1 & 3. Glad you guys were there to see it and photograph it!

Stan, the spot of light in #3 is a nice focus, making it my choice of the three images. #1 follows, but the foreground shoreline is not compelling to me. The golden light relecting off the waves looks good.
