Milky Way in South Coyote Buttes
Wanted to do some night shooting on my SW trip last week. Went out to South Coyote Buttes but decided this tree would work even better.

Rented a 24mm f1.4 but found the sharpness to have issues - stars on the left were sharp but soft on the right. It was the 1st version of the lens - anyone had better luck with the newer version?

This one was my 16mm-35mm at 16 to get the tree and stars sharp. f2.8 at 25 secs, ISO 2500 with 5D iii

The tree provides a great backdrop for this starscape. I find the color hue on the horizon unattractive, though.
Light pollution near Coyote Buttes??

Very remote, so I doubt it is light pollution. Might be haze on the horizon. I don't mind it though, varies the color palette.
