My wife, daughter and I went up RMNP on Sunday. Trailridge road was closed. We drove down to Sheep Lake and grabbed this shot from the west end of the parking area. I really liked the dusting of snow on the mountains and the way the clouds kept dancing with the mountain peaks.

One of my favorite views in the park. You did a good job with such bright light. Very natural colors and contrasts.

A very pretty scene, and the clouds are great!

Thanks for the comments Morris and John. They are very much appreciated. It was a good day at RMNP. I have added a link to a larger version of the file that really shows the detail and light better then the smaller version required by this site. enjoy!

Hi Larry, personally I think the composition is excellent. That cluster of trees on the left anchors the image well along with timely cloud cover. The processing is spot in too for this scene. I think what you got here is an image that sits well the given conditions. I vision this scene in ultimate "wow" conditions in summer after a monsoonal effort. Green replacing brown, add the mood of monsoon then this one sings! Sometimes these super comps are well worth revisiting and I think that's what you have here.

A very beautiful, natural scene from one of my favorite places that I don't see often enough. The large version is chock full of detail and the comp takes my eyes through the entire frame. This spot could be an excellent one for seasonal comparison as Kane suggested.

Thanks for the comments Kane and Pam. I like the idea of a seasonal comparison series which gives me an additional excuse to visit RMNP (as if I needed one)
