Green Lizards
We had a couple of hours grace between storms today so i popped over the local woodland to have a look around,Something moved on a wood, bramble pile as i walked past,I thought it may be an adder so waited to see if it came back, after about 10 mins a female lizard came back to get some sun and a couple of mins later the male came out with her,I will try to get some slate and position it nearby as this will hold heat and hopefully they will use it and i can get a clear shot,I only had a 500mm with me so this is cropped from a portrait mode where the female has room for tail and lower legs
20D 500mm

Corr Blimey Dave, are these a native species in Switzerland

Good luck getting some clearer views next time, the skin colours and textures on these creatures are fabulous and a great subject to photograph.

cheers

Shame about all the o.o.f foliage, it does obscure the lizards too much in my opinion

Hi Dave,

I've looked at this a few times now!!! Cannot decide if the foreground OOF foliage is to dominant

Either way it's a nice sharp shot showing them in their habitat.

Regards

As said shame about the foliage, but I'm sure you will be back, have only photographed these in captivity it must be great to see and have the chance to photograph them in the wild, looking forward to seeing more and thanks for sharing..

Hi Dave

I quite like it - makes a pleasant change from the usual clear shot!
