Druidston Haven + comparison
Another atempt at a landscape. I have realised that I never consciously set out to shoot landscapes and the only ones I have are taken when out walking the dogs. That's obviously the reason why they never turn out as I'd like  Critique and suggestions for improvement are welcome.
Anyway, this is the far end of Druidston Haven looking west towards St Davids.

It is fine as is but I would prefer to see more of those cliffs, the foreground is a bit uninteresting. Nice sky though. Walk further next time :)

Lovely view, the image has lovely depth and a nice warm glow. The bottom looks too dark to me but its minor as this is a very nice shot :toast: :toast: :toast:

I agree with Phil ,Robert.
I am certainly no landscape man but I think lightening up the botoom right corner would help a tad.
Nice though still.

Like the ratio on this Robert, all looks good to me, exposure/lighting looks spot on. :toast:

Agree with Steve Robert it all looks OK on my lappie and this would be worth a re-visit in the spring when all the colours are there.

I'm certainly no landscape photographer, but like this. I agree with Neil though :toast: :toast:

It'll do for me, as I like the transition from shade to light. Well done.

Thanks all for your comments. I am no way a landscape shooter so I was particularly interested in getting some comments on this one. The initial comments saying the bottom corner was too dark actually surprised me. When I looked again at the post I could see plenty of detail although the area was in shadow. I know the foreground is not particularly interesting but when I took the image I used the hedge to lead the eye to the main subject which is the cliff and beyond. To that effect I believed the shadow area gave the image some added depth. As a comparison this image taken very close to the original has the foreground lit the same as the middle distance. To me it looks more 2 dimentional. I'd be very interested in how others would perceive it.

I much prefer the first image Robert as I find the foreground too dominant and adds little to the image. Perhaps a lower viewpoint along the beach area where there appear to be some nice stones may produce some worthwhile images. It will be worth trying different vantage points Robert as I think this area will yield some nice images.
