D7000 300mm f4 + TC14e ISO 400 1/800s at f7.1 handheld lay down using seaweed covered rock as rest.
This was when the otter decided to come investigate the camera noise and swam straight toward me. He has an intent look about him, almost predatory, which is what he is I suppose and maybe he was in hunt mode. Many thanks for all your comments on my last post and as always C+C warmly welcomed.
1/800s at F7.1 iso 400. You JAMMY SOD ! Another fine shot Nick. I can't quite get my head around the blue sky in the water yet..I mean... how does that happen, it's not something I've ever seen with otters down here. It must be scottish luck.

Thanks Robert my luck was certainly in the other day! Not sure why the water is so blue I can only imagine it was due to the angle of the lens in relation to the water which was reflecting the blue sky. I have actually reduced the overall blue colour a little and warmed the otters head as it all looked too cool.

Another belting Otter shot, Nick. Love the bow wave just under the nose and the reflected whiskers
