I am totally confused in submission with different stock agencies. Some agencies select my images and other rejects. I can't understand the right criteria. Kindly suggest

Manjot,
The big demand at the moment is lifestyle and conceptual. The agency I was with stopped accepting landscapes several years ago. Due to my remote location, I don't shoot much in the way of stock anymore. The costs are high and the returns slim. And sometimes it just comes down to the personality of the editor. What one might accept the other rejects.

I know in some cases, because the industry is struggling as a whole, some agencies have chosen to simply stop accepting new photographers. They prefer to "stay loyal" to their existing photographers and concentrate on marketing their images, rather than further diluting their base.

Thanks Max! I feel your answer is logical that I felt because of my good pictures are rejected by some agencies with illogical reasons. And with list of reasons you will be guess what is the real one. I am surprised those pictures appriciated by NPN members and other stock agencies with grace. Some Time I feel pity on editor those don't knew about animals species and their behavior.
Any how so it is better to promote own store ? Suggest

I don't know about better. Perhaps others with full time stock agreements are better qualified to chime in, but in my opinion marketing is one of the biggest challenges we face, especially given all the competition out there. I think I'd rather have my photos in the hands of a professional agency with long-standing connections in the industry, someone who can do most of the marketing legwork themselves... even if it means that my "cut" per transaction is reduced to 50% (or less, in many cases).
Granted, I have not gone so far to throw my images into the Getty Flickr pool or anything like that, but if I had an offer that promised a return of more than just a few bucks per usage, I'd seriously consider it.
