Just made a trip back from Prineville this weekend and took 35 through Hood River to pick up some cider. The vine maples are well past prime at the higher elevations (and hurt by the weekend cold and snow) but the Larches (Tamarack...you know, deciduous conifers) are peaking about now. They were very lovely.
