I took this image Sunday afternoon while a few clouds hung around. This is my first real attempt using live view as opposed to the view finder. Working between spurts of sunshine and curious waterfall visitors, I like how it turned out.

Very nice! I love the perspective and depth of field. One of my favorite places and you have done a great job of showing why.
I like your composition - especially the perspective that you chose with the cascades in the foreground. The splashes of color in the autumn foliage are also nice. I would like to see the water a little brighter. I would expect to see more highlights in the water - this looks more mid-tone.

Jan, I really like your composition. It looks like you used the cloud cover to your advantage.
Just curious, in live view are you in manual focus? The reason I ask is that I find using the little focus box on my Canon 5DIII and zooming in to 5x or 10X allow me to really fine tune items I want to be in focus.

Brian, I appreciate your comment. I do struggle with highlights as I try not to blow them out. I will experiment and see what I can do. There was no depth to the water there, so no real color to work with. If I am not following you please explain.
Tom, I too am shooting a 5D3 now, and I use both methods. I just haven't had much experience yet. I zoom in before and after a shot often. Chimping? I would be interested in knowing what your AF setup is for landscape?

Was this taken Sunday? I was over there that day. This is a very nice image. Very strong composition.

Looks like a great fall season is going in Arkansas.

Good tonal range, DOF, contrast, texture. All the elements are there.
I wonder about the distant center area... could contrast or some other manipulation be done?
Good eye and great work.

Kris, I was there about 3:30 on Sunday. I did say hi to one other photographer. It might have been you. Fisch, I wasn't too worried beyond the upper falls, but I do think with a little contrast adjustment, I could reveal some more detail. Thanks for the suggestion.

Very nice, Jan! Beautiful composition, but I might have waded in to get that stick out from under the rock.

Ditto on all the above. Beautiful shot!

No need to get wet, Bill.

This is probably my favorite image of this location.

Jan, if that photographer was shooting medium format then it was me.

Thank you Joe. Kris, all I noticed is what looked like a small microphone on top. If I asked you if you liked taking photos of people standing on top of waterfalls, then it was me.

Beautiful scene and shot Jan. It's all been said already.
