Turnstone
Thanks for the comments on my Redshank.

This is another from Salthouse. I must get there in the winter one day with the Snow Buntings. Light was dreadful, but I was quite pleased to get a bit of a reflection with this one.

Techs:
Nikon D300s
Nikon 200-400mm f4 VR
Homemade groundpod again  (beanbag in frying pan)
F4
1/640s
ISO 640

The low angle works well on this one and the DOF is spot on for this type of shot, my only concern is that dark pebble on the left edge of the frame, this really does draw the eye, but easily sorted if you wanted to.

I also like how the colours of the bird match that of the FG and the BG.

Nice one, Oscar.

Andy...

Yep ! That's better.
I remember a Mr Blake and his "pan pod" - people said photographers made ther beach look like a seal colony !
Cheers

Right out of the top drawer Oscar. It is amazing the difference a seemingly minor change can make to a picture. :toast:

Re-post is better although I too didn't notice the pebble until it was pointed out. Another classic image Oscar.

I would have removed the pebble not the edge of the frame!

Also I find the red ting to the reflection a little off-putting Oscar, though that's a simple fix too, and only my opinion anyway.

Good job though :toast: :toast:
