Ok, I've lurked long enough. I've finally got an image or two good enough to show here. Taken last Saturday at Bear Cave Hollow, upstream from Kyles Landing. Equipment is my EOS 300d, kit lens, polarizer and a nervous photographer hovering above trying to keep the rain from soaking in and ruining the camera.
Welcome to the forum Bruce. What a nice first post! I really like the color and detail of everything, but especially the detail of the log jam. Very nice use of light too.
Thanks for posting - I look forward to seeing more!
Welcome Bruce. Beautiful image, looks just like Kansas ... Seriously, very nice image, and I'll echo what Bill said. I'm glad you have been stopping by and started posting. Are you another of the Arkansas clan of photog? Thanks for posting, look forward to many, many more!
Gentlemen thanks for your gracious replies, it's wonderful to have photographers whose work you admire comment favorably on your's.
Wayne, actually I'm out of Joplin MO, and earn my living designing light fixtures. I've been working on exploring the Boston Mountains for 20+ years now and got into photography simply to show folks what I've been enjoying.
Brent, I knew the leaves were there but had resisted cropping thinking that would change the effect. However I did try it and it wasn't near as bad as I thought. Here's the location...

Could somebody please show me a step-by-step on how to link to an external site? When I try it I get an error message but I don't get anything telling me what to fix.
