Even though the stag is quite central and is looking to the "wrong" side of the frame, the comp does work for me. However the overall image looks a bit light as shown. A fine looking animal.
Agree with Robert maybe a little more on the left if you have it and it does look a tad light, but thats a fine looking beast giving you a very nice image.

I like a bit of mush :) but would prefer more LHS. Plenty to like though!

I think it does need to be more to the right and the animal looks a little light and "blueish"

Plenty of atmosphere here Paul but I would have the stag to the right and darken him up a bit
I like the atmosphere and OOF fg, but agree about composition. The whole image has a very funny look to me though. On going through the File Info on it in PS, it says the clarity was +29, contrast +69 (starts at +50 though I think), and highlights were -57, as well as the white balance being at a temperature of 6050. I would be interested to see the original?

I like the comp Paul as the stag has space to move into and the eye contact is perfect. Cannot really comment on the colours as I am on a lappie so any advice could be wrong. Fine looking beast.

I like the setting on this one, Paul. I'll leave the processing tips to the experts

Also may be a little off from the top.
