It Pays To Visit Craigslist

I realize not everyone has a readily available local Craigslist, but if you do, you should visit it daily.

For example, my local list has a Canon G1X, still with all its original packaging, for just $500.

I, myself, just yesterday became the proud owner of an Epson 7800 wide format printer for just $600. I watched as the former owner paid a qualified technician to clean the ink lines and heard him announce that it looks as if it has even seen any use.

More than 90% of what I've spent on gear in the past few years has been to purchase items advertised on Craigslist, and I've NEVER been disappointed.

Howard I agree. The best part is I live near Denver and can do a hands on review before purchasing. I've also sold several products over the years. You do however when selling be careful of scams.

Bully for you Howard! I used CL in Colorado and Oklahoma now and then with no problems. Here on the Big Island CL is a major thing! It's even better than the Coconut Wireless (Hawaiian grapevine, gossip line, etc). Many people and businesses use it on a daily basis and I find myself checking it every day. Several photo jobs appear, good deals on gear, free stuff, you name it. I've recently sold several pieces of gear I no longer need and it was to another photog on the other side of the Island. We met in the middle, exchanged war stories, gear and money, cool sites to shoot, etc. I'm getting to really like CL out here.
