So there I was happily shooting tits when this fellow popped down. I turned off the flash as I was not in a hide, nor under camo and only 5m away. Surprised me a bit. Will have to go back with hide. Due to the bright BG I had trouble processing, flash will stay on next time.

I really like the background, the autumnal leaves (I presume) set the bird off well. I don't think flash would have added anything to this picture.
Hi Neil, I'm with Andy, the green needs to go and I would watch the slightly warmer parts in the BKG too, could correct in PS quite easily. Was -1 to retail the whites? Like the head/body angle and light in the eye.

Here is another, slightly less head turn. Still some moss but I kind of like to ground the shot, birds on sticks are so yesterday ;)

Keith.
Great comp, background etc but pity about the head on head. Not sure about the bottom green either.
Just my opinion.No big deal.

Great BG, Great bird, but the grass would have to go if it were mine, either that or move the perch. Head position isn't an issue for me.
