Went up to Rocky for some hiking before the snow flies. The clouds were a bit thicker than i had hoped for, so no real luck at sunrise today, but it was nice hiking weather!
Went up to Ypsilon yesterday, there was a little light on the range.

went up to Bierstadt with Erik this morn. Some real nice clouds lit up--unfortunately they were in the wrong direction from the range!

Fortunately the ice on Sprague was awesome, so the trip was at least somewhat worthwhile from a photo perspective.

went B&W on the previous one, for this one i bumped up the saturation cause i liked the subtle warmth. That's all...as i told Erik i only process a few photos and for this trip there were very few :frown:

Glad you had a little luck Stan. It was great meeting you in Erik's gallery on Thursday morning! Best of luck to you and love the new ebook you came out with about predicting weather! Blessings! #3 & #4 are my favorites out of this bunch!

Stan, although I am not mentally ready for winter yet, I like the ice patterns of the last two. The B&W conversion gives a nice metallic appearance. Looks like the dof was limited in the #3 B&W.

I like the first and the last quite a bit. Cloning out the object in the bottom of #1 would add to the effect that a dark bottom brings to the image. Cropping the top down to where the left ridgeline begins makes a wonderful balance between the areas above and below the ice sheet.

I like that idea, John--although even if i do that this will still probably be delegated to hard-drive hell.

Sorry I'm late to the party, we were out of town for awhile. The first two are nice, but not worthy of your portfolio. The ice shots are just cool, and the last one is special.
