Buttermere
:wavey:

Cheers for the comments on my last post and cheers for looking. Was hoping for a big view and this was really my best attempt, well only actually the weather was not kind.

Best viewed large, very large in fact!

As ever all C&C welcomed

An image that is full of interest, from the stone building in the foreground to the steep sided valley that leads you down to the lake.

The dramatic sky looks great with the clouds just kissing the tops of the peaks.

A quality landscape if you ask me :toast:

Andy...

Very nice indeed Phil

This deserves to be blown up really large and hung on your wall for years to come. It may be an optical illusion, but the one (small) nit I do have is that the lake appears to be leaning slightly to the right. Nothing that a slight CCW rotation won't take care of.

Hi Phil. Stonking mate:smile: For perfection a tadge more sky and a straighter horizon would be great

Stunning shot and a totally different take on Buttermere, I assume this is from Fleetwith Pike looking back over towards Buttermere? - otherwise I can't quite work out the view point used!

Definately one to view large... very nice.. only slight thing and I can't really make my mind up here is whether I would like a tad more space to the bottom at the expense of a little sky and the top hill/mountain on the left, just to give the building a bit more support...

(you have a bit of black border on the right hand side  )
