Nice one on the fungus again.
Its a Marsh Tit I reckon Neil. They don't actually need Marshes. There's a lot of ways of splitting the two but I find the best is the small white blob at the base of the beak, The fungus isn't the one I thought as you can see the gills better on this one.
Cheers

Marsh Tit for me too Neil. Nice shot, but the flash is too much for me, it looks a bit like it's been superimposed on the image. Is there any other way you could light the bird a bit? Maybe reflectors?

Oscar. Flash was not fired on this shot as far as i remember. The problem is the way the winter sun comes through the trees, one minute the birds are bright on a black BG and the next they are black on a bright BG. Only way to do it is pulling those shadows which is why the bird looks a bit flat.

Thanks guys :wavey:

I much prefer this one Neil a great angle on the fungi and terrific BG. If I was to be really fussy I would take out the white speck just behind they but no biggy

A much better marsh tit than any I have ever taken. Nice one, Neil.
