Tom

Very nice, although the whites look a bit burned out to me in a couple of places, could be my monitor.

All the best

As Ian says, the white on the forehead looks a little burned. Otherwise a fine shot.

Nit covered. The bird and BG are fine although I would prefer a bit less of the log perhaps

Indeed, agree with comments re the whites, never easy to get right with subject that contain blacks as well as whites, you don't say what software was used or if shot in raw so difficult to offer advice there but newer versions of camera raw etc have good control over highlights and shadows that should pull a bit of detail from both...

My main nit is the crop I am not a fan of square crops (that is personal) but here it is forcing the bird to look out of the image... with far too much... if you crop much of it out the composition balances so much better..

I do like the warm autumnal colours...

As is a nice shot of a stunning bird, i would love a bout the same canvas again as dead space on the right think it would be a stunner then :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:

Superb Tom. Maybe a bit more shadow/highlight to pull the detail out of the blacks and whites though. Otherwise a superb capture. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Hi all,

Thanks for the advices. At teh moment it's very busy here, so not much time to spent here. Hope that it will change sometime (soon please). :)
Thanks again and my apologies for not being around over here lately.
