Yeah Me and Rod Chandler
A Hard Life by Mark Stahlke
Tachihara 4x5, Schneider Super Symmar XL 110/5.6
E100VS or Velvia (I've had too many beers to remember )
Warming filter because this was in the shade.

Yeah, Me and Rod Chandler

This is the shot that won Best Of Show at
The Aurora Artists Guild
18th Annual Gateway to the Rockies Art Show 2012

Best Of Show in the first show I ever entered? Holy smokes!!!
I can't help bragging.

The weird thing is a lot of people like this shot but I'm not one of them. It grabs people but not me. This is a nasty looking JPEG, I'm surprised it was even accepted into the show. I printed it at 18x24 on Moab Entrada, put it in a 24x30 frame with a double white mat and it looked surprisingly nice.

Rod Chandler, a fellow NPNer, took 1st Place in the Photography category for "Humming Bird and Flowers" and the Aurora's First Lady Award for "Colorado Apple Blossoms". You can find both of these images at his web site.
Two at once! Well done, Rod!

Congratulations Mark! The light and colors in the image makes it special. Also viewed Rod's website. Amazing photos.
