Imnaha Canyon
I'm spending some time out near Joseph alternating between landscapes of dramatic geological features and lovely barns with mountains behind. I hope to share a few over the next couple of weeks.

Here is the first: This is the Imnaha River canyon from Buckhorn lookout.

I really like all the 'shades' of light here. Nice capture.

I like this one, Marylynne. Good comp and nice detail clear to the far horizon.

Very nice. Really like the dramatic clouds. Isn't that amazing country out there?

Thanks everyone. Yeah, the clouds were gathering and the wind was whipping. I only spent about 45 minutes here because conditions were brutal.

Very nice light creating interesting textures of the rugged mountains. I would especially like to be here for early, late or storm light in the green of spring.

Nice shot! Boy, that's some rugged looking country. The cloud layer creates a sense of foreboding for me, and I love the vast overlook. Interesting and evocative.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to visiting in the spring too. There is a whole other Oregon out here ;-)

Beautiful. I love the soft clouds, the hard mountains, and the gentle rolling hill in the foreground. Three varieties of texture!
