Here are three offerings of white aspen boles in fog where their appearance becomes ghostly from the effects of fog around them.

I've made the first one a large version.

C&C always welcome,

Morris

And, #3

My instant reaction upon seeing these was "WOW!!" And that doesn't happen very often. Morris, these are stunning! #s 1 and 2 are my favorite, and I think I prefer #2 for the more subdued and mystical feel (#1 might benefit from dialing down the whites - or not, curious to hear wehat others think). We've all seen a million aspen pictures but these are truly unique, artistic, and beautiful. Congratulations! :toast:

Absolutely beautiful, Morris. My favorite is #1, and I personally wouldn't change a thing with it. :toast:

# 1 is, well, simply a spectacular NUMBER ONE!!!!!! It is perfection and I hope you are making a large print of it.

Number one is, well...number one. Outstanding photograph, Morris!

Yeah that first one especially is just perfect. Aspen photography at its best!

"Aspen photography at its best!"
I could not agree more! I like all three of them very much, but #1 just blew me away. I sincerely hope that you print this one, and I really mean it. You just keep getting better and better, amigo.

Thats some serious soft light there Morris! You have captured the mood of the scenes perfectly and I have nothing to add. I do think the first post is the winner here but #2 is a close second due to the bowing trees...Cool! I love the white aspens you discovered in both shots and you did a great job exposing them against that soft light.

#1 is my #1 I thing I would even crop a little bit more off the bottom IMO. The other 2 aren't too shabby either!

Fine work, Morris. Number one is my favorite as well. Love the mood the fog brings.

The first clearly stands above the other two, in my view. The combo of the white boles and fog are real nice. I like that you found white boles, as most of ours in NAZ have the dirty green tint. The only suggestion I might have would be to crop down a little to remove the leaf cluster in the URC. As others have said, this would be real nice in print.

Morris, time to open up a Michelob! It doesn't get any better than #1. I have been after a foggy aspen shot for years and have not come even close to the delicacy that is #1. This deserves to be on a billboard for an advertising campaign for Colorado.

Great stuff! Especially like the first one.

Well done Morris, 1 & 2 are stellar in my books. I think in 3 the yellow leaves are competing with the light fog and trees a bit more, but still an excellent capture. :toast:
